SAND FRAMES

HMMMMMM this is a thought....THINKING HARD!

(found this picture doing a google search)

Sandframes was doing them but I found out that they aren't....then I found out that a knottie Miahandme (via a google search) used this frame umbra ether frame, so I'm going to look into getting one from my local Kohls or Target. I like this little cute one from Oriental Trading and its cheap....Hmmmm again, thinking, thinking, thinking, My only issue is that its only a 4x6 size, but I guess I could put it into a cute shadow box afterwards. Here are some more DIY Tips to making one....SAND FRAME DIY

Sand Ceremony Wording.
Courtesy of Weddingbee.com: The Groom commences the ceremony by pouring a portion of his sand into the empty vase. The Bride then pours some of her sand into the center vase. They keep doing this, alternating colors creating a layered effect until the center vase is almost full. Then to complete the ceremony, they can simultaneously pour their sand into the center vase. If you are having your ceremony directly on the beach, a nice touch would be having your officiant scoop up a little sand from the beach with a sea shell and pour it into the small bottle to symbolize the building of the foundation of the relationship and to give you a memento directly from the beach. For examples on how you might word the ceremony, check out this site: http://www.celebrateintimateweddings.com/ceremonysand.html Here are some phrases that really seem to capture this type of ceremony: “Officiant: _________ and _________, may your love always be as constant as the never-ending waves, flowing endlessly from the depths of the sea. Just as there will never be a morning without the ocean’s flow, may there never be a day without your love for each other. or Officiant: _________ and _________,today you are making a life-long commitment to share the rest of your lives with each other. Your relationship is symbolized through the pouring of these two individual containers of sand; one, representing you, _________ and all that you were, all that you are, and all that you will ever be, and the other representing you, _________, and all that you were and all that you are, and all that you will ever be. Each one holds its own unique beauty, strength, and character. They can stand on their own and be whole, without the need of anything else. When the two are blended together they represent an entirely new and extraordinary love relationship. Each grain of sand brings to the mixture a lasting beauty that forever enriches the combination. As you each hold your sand the separate containers of sand represent your lives to this moment; individual and unique. As you now combine your sand together, your lives also join together as one. The life that each of you have experienced until now, individually, will hereafter be inseparably united, for the two shall become one. Just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into the individual containers, so will your marriage be.” The ceremony can also be planned to include your parents or children, giving each their own color of sand. Of course you don’t have to be having a beach ceremony to incorporate this into your wedding.

HOBBY LOBBY SALES

Gotta love the 50% off bridal blow out when it comes to bargains....So far this seriously small budget event is on track. I got EVERY flower that I need to DIY the bouquets, boutineers, and corsages and only paid $75 which normally would have run me $150. YAY for sales.

I still need to get some combs for my veil, and a few more stems for the jumping broom. And pins or holders for the boutineers. But besides that I am DONE!

CHECKING THAT OFF THE LIST!

FAVORS

As with everything this is a DIY project..... I got the idea and the picture from Style Me Pretty

MY DREAM DRESS!!!!!

Here was the what I didn't want in a dress....
1. Could not be a "traditional" dress type
2. Could not be an actual bridal gown.
3. No tulle or lace (they both make me itch)
4. No rhinestones and things like that....it needs to be simple.

What I wanted in a dress...
1. "destination" type dress
2. really cute bride's maid dress

And that trip to David's Bridal changed all that, and I thought that I found the perfect dress at David's. Well guess what NOPE it wasn't it. Today I went to a scrapbook store in the outlet mall to get some stuff for my daughter's girl scout troop, and in walking the mall (needed a lil' retail therapy and a lil' fitness in the process) I stopped at Group USA. Why did I do that????

I started looking at the Destination dresses and found THE DRESS. And how I know it was THE DRESS I started crying when I saw myself in the mirror. The top is covered in rhinestones (#4 on the no no list) It has tulle (#3 on the no no list.) And the best part is that it doesn't need any BODY ARMOUR!!!! I had on a strapless bra and I didn't need to change into a long line bra. NOW THAT WAS A HUGE PLUS!!!!

Here is a picture of me in THE DRESS...its a little big in the top and its long, but that's nothing that a good seamstress can't fix. but here is the kicker....the David's dress was $600. The Group USA dress is $190.

***sidenote....Excuse my jeans & my baby phat flip flops in the corner ****
